Our mission at Barkbus has always been to end traumatic trips to the grooming salon and deliver a safe, stress-free, and luxurious dog grooming experience. Our Pet Stylists are on the front lines of our business every day, taking care of your pets and making sure they feel secure and happy during their time with us. To take things a step further and invest in our people, we recently teamed up with the International Professional Groomers (IPG) on a first-of-its-kind education program for our company’s Pet Stylists.
Barkbus will provide up to four certifications for all team members — including Advanced and Master levels — going above and beyond standard training in pet safety, health, and handling. The goal of this program is to develop strong talent, ensuring the best possible experience for the pets in their care. IPG is an internationally recognized organization and has been certifying groomers for over 30 years; its mission is to ensure the safe and compassionate handling of pets. They now have trained groomers in 33 countries worldwide. Linda Easton, President of International Professional Groomers shared, “We are excited to work with Barkbus on this new initiative for their team. Partaking in this program demonstrates their passion for service and their commitment to providing pets and pet parents with the best care possible.”
The safety, health, and well-being of the pets in our care will always be our highest priority and we believe it’s important to continue to provide our pet stylists with the tools, resources, and skills they need to be successful. IPG is an industry leader and known for its values and ongoing dedication to pet care and safety and we are thrilled to work with them.
